Few things make you feel more free than going for a summer bike ride. Living in Cambridge means you are never far away from great cycling and walking paths. In today’s post, the Williams and McDaniel Property Management blog team has some trails for you to visit. Enjoy the ride!
Mill Creek Trail is a relatively flat, easy trail and is suitable for all skill levels. You can get on the south end of the trail from downtown Cambridge, near 140 Main Street (just east of Wellington Street) that is just a 5 minute bike ride from Cedar Towers (10 George Street South, Cambridge). From Olympia Court Apartments (72 Alison Avenue) it’s just 4 minutes by bike to enter the trail from Soper Park.
Living Levee Trail
The Living Levee Trail is a 3.4 km paved trail that runs along the Grand River of downtown Cambridge to Augusta Street. From Olympia Court Apartments you can use this trail as a continuation of the Mill Creek Trail with just a short detour along Main Street to Mill Race Park. You can ride there in about 10 minutes. From Cedar Towers, it’s less than a 5 minute ride to Mill Race Park.
Shade’s Mills Conservation Trails
There are 14 km of trails at Shade’s Mills Conservation Area (12 minutes by bike from Olympia Court Apartments). Shade’s Mills has been called the best kept secret in Cambridge. In addition to the trails there are great spots for swimming, fishing and canoeing.
Easy access to nature is one of the great things about living in Cambridge. The blog team at Williams and McDaniel hopes you have fun exploring these beautiful local trails. For more information on Williams and McDaniel rental properties near you, please visit our website.
